Bookmarking/Tagging Assignment

Students will collaboratively create an article/site list via the social bookmarking tool del.icio.us, tagging and notating Web resources. The result will be an open, shared Web resource that reflects the wisdom and critical thinking of the class as a whole.

Steps for Assignment:

1. Create an account at del.icio.us.

2. Throughout the semester, while surfing and reading for class, bookmark and tag articles with appropriate tags, building your own tagged collection of resources.

3. Tag you’re your most notable articles, posts or sites with LIS768 (and other descriptive tags) to add them to the class blog.

4. Add a feed from your del.icio.us account to your blog.

5. At the end of the course, you’ll post your URL for your del.icio.us site to your blog for grading. Have at least 50 items in your del.icio.us account.
